This is the image of Mr. Chakrapani in the Cinema field. A triple five cigarette pack was an accessory in his hand. From another angle, he was a distinct literary figure. He was extraordinarily talented from whose pen Telugu flowed like a stream. He was a synonym for self help, perseverance, and boldness. His literature helped the common man in understanding human relations and in acquiring worldly knowledge. He was an ordinary man, who firmly believed that there was no other secret of success except hard work. He had grown with determination as if the sky were the limit. His education too was nominal. He never stepped into any college. He did not visit Kolkatta. Yet, he learned Bengali while he was pulling the days hard with illness, and acquired an attractive style. His translations of Sarat read as though Sarat were a Telugu writer. A well-wisher of the people, he was instrumental in promoting reading habit among the common folks through his writings, translations and publications in the first part of the 20th century.
